A man who died following a house fire on Sackville Road has been identified as Robert Marcin Kostucha.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of  murder after fire crews were called to the incident in the early hours of Saturday, November 30.

Mr Kostucha, from Poland, was was found at around 1:30am and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said  that his death is being treated as ‘suspicious’ and that two men, aged 38 and 35, and two 19-year-old women have been arrested.

A post-mortem examination yesterday ruled that Mr Kostucha’s death was undetermined pending further tests.

Detective Chief Inspector Jade Brice, investigating, said: “Mr Kostucha’s family members are being supported by specially trained officers and they have today released this photo. They have asked that their privacy is respected and they are left alone at this incredibly difficult time as they try to come to terms with what has happened.

“Two men, aged 35 and 38-years-old, and two 19-year-old women who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released under investigation.

“Enquiries are ongoing and our officers remain in the area. A cordon is still in place on Sackville Road.
