Friday night is set to be freezing as temperatures set to reach sub-zero.

Most of the day is set to feel like -1C according to the Met Office, with Saturday not looking much better with temperatures feeling as low as -4C.

Light winds will develop over the weekend nights, which means frost may form across the city.

Sheffield City Council are telling locals to “wear appropriate clothing, footwear, and carry extra warm clothing with you.”

Conditions will continue to worsen, as we enter into Monday with lows of -3C.

The Council’s Streets Ahead scheme have issued advice for residents travelling in wintery conditions, including leaving plenty of time for journeys as traffic will most likely be affected.

They have also advised keeping an emergency kit in your car in case of breakdowns or accidents.
